On his first birthday he was treated to his first cupcake and ate it with great abandon. Maybe that was the start.
When he was young he liked cheeses with the most flavor like brie. As he got a bit older he preferred sandwiches made of dijon mustard, onions and cheese. His zest for life continued with hot sauce, rostifarian interests, para sailing, bungie jumping and other thrilling activities. In the Coast Guard Matt was the one who hung off the ship until planes landed and then jumped back on to place the chocks.
With fatherhood some of these activities channeled themselves into other areas but his joy and zest continued.
Liz and Matt with Bryan.
He graduated from Berkeley in robotic engineering while being the primary child cartaker. Liz worked full time and Matt played. Not really, but he often looks like that's what he is doing even though he accomplishes a great deal of serious business.
Things have quieted down a wee bit what with 3 children, 2 of which are in college already.
However they continue to zoom around on the Delta when the weather is warm,
And they even wear playful hats I knit for them.
Happy 45th my son.
